Description
Dennis Melville Riggin (April 11, 1936 – April 2, 2016) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 18 games in the National Hockey League. He played two short stints with the Detroit Red Wings,[1] but spent the rest of his hockey career in the minors:
- OHA Windsor Spitfires 1951-1953
- OHA Sr Hamilton Tigers 1953-1954
- OHA Hamilton Tiger Cubs 1953-55
- WHL Edmonton Flyers 1955-1963
- AHL Pittsburgh Hornets 1962-1963
Post-hockey Riggin worked at Molson’s for 30 years in London, Ontario and Toronto before retiring to Kincardine. His son Pat became a NHL goaltender in his own right.
